Here for Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow
It was a (presumably) wintry day in March of 1908 when the newly formed Oostburg State Bank opened its doors for the first time. Incorporated by Peter Daane, John Theune, and W.H. Sprangers, the new bank launched to serve the 350 residents of the village with total capital of $25,000.
It was a different world – few cars, no computers, no television, but those things weren’t important. Community, family and local businesses – that’s what was important to the founders. This hasn’t changed.
Over the last 115 years, a lot has changed. We’ve expanded our reach throughout Sheboygan County and the surrounding areas – constantly expanding our services to meet the needs of individuals and businesses alike. Through it all our commitment to our customers and community has remained steadfast.
We’ll celebrate that commitment with refreshments in our lobbies on March 17 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Please join us and thank you for 115 amazing years serving Oostburg and the surrounding community!
